For the first time ever, the Ironman World Championships are headed to St. George, Utah and Kogel will be there supporting our ambassador athletes and fans from around the world.

The event comes on the heels of the pandemic and marks the return of Ironman since the last world championships back in 2019. To mark this storied event, Kogel products and our team will be onsite at the Rapid Cycling Race Expo. (705 N Bluff St, St. George, UT 84770)

Make the Rapid Cycling expo part of your IMWC experience

Stop by the expo, May 4th-6th, and put your hands on one of our race ready Kolossos oversized derailleur cages and bottom brackets.

Our team will be available to answer all questions and help you navigate the ins and outs of achieving drivetrain efficiency. We'll also have some sweet race-week specials for all athletes and spectators.

This year’s event is special because we’ll be co hosting with our friends from A2 Bikes and Parcours Wheels, both brands that are dedicated to supporting aspiring amateur and professional triathletes. See our latest collaborations with these two amazing brands at our booth.

Introducing Kogel hand-treated chains

Plus, Kogel will be offering wax treated chains by the NeXT eSports team to help you maximize your pedaling efficiency.

Did you know Elite eRacing teams are mandated to do double data collection: a crank or pedal based power meter in combination with a smart trainer?

When comparing power data (i.e watts) at the cranks and smart trainer, the reduction in overall drivetrain friction was three percent vs a chain using a standard lube.

The savings were also found to scale, it stays a constant three percent across the entire power range, from easy pedaling to all out sprint finishes. How would you feel gaining 6 or 7 watts of free output across the entire bike leg?

Road to St. George

Also, did you know that this year's event is actually the rescheduled 2021 Ironman World Championships that were canceled last October? That means professional triathletes have been waiting over a year to contest the 2021 title.

That's a long time to train and wait to compete. To tell this incredible journey, we've followed two amazing triathletes, Fenella Langridge and Laura Siddall who have been training for over a year to compete in this event.

Their journey will be highlighted in the coming days on our Instagram channel so if you haven't already, please head over and follow us to hear their story.
